Sharing Joy to Others this Christmas

Everybody deserves a merry Christmas. 7 days and counting and we are about to celebrate the birth of the Lord. If we recall the song "Give Love on Christmas Day" by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, it merely says the meaning of Christmas is by sharing joy to others. I remember the saying, "the real happiness of life is knowing that you are living for them". As we see others being happy for the reason that we did is priceless, and cannot be compared to any other things in this world.

I remember the times when I used to walk by at the streets and notice these children running around with dirty clothes, no slippers, fighting over an old toy. I somehow felt the compassion for these children. I also heard some other children being abused by their families, experiencing a home filled with terror and there's no one else they could turn on to. Thinking about it, I always am thankful for I never experienced living in a home like that. These children deserves love, peace, joy. They have their right to live in a loving environment. Just imagine if you were put in their situation, it feels bad and there might be even worse situations. I often ask myself, how do they celebrate their Christmas with such situations going on with their lives?

If sharing joy with others gives a person a priceless moment when we see when other people smile for the reason we did, what if we share the joy of Christmas to these poor children and see what it would do to us?

Our dear friends, we, the section one of the College of Nursing of the University of the Cordilleras Batch 2011, would like to extend our gratitude, and once again asks for your help. We like to share our gratitude by sharing joy to these children at the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and through their help, we ask for your extending hand, to help us give joy this Christmas to these poor children. We would like to ask if any of you would like to donate anything (money, clothes, books) or any other stuffs that would help these children and let them experience the happiest Christmas they will have this year. If we recall a person who did us something worth remembering, a good deed, or probably a kind hearted person and we want to do something for them in return, we can actually do this by paying it forward. Not it does only circulate the joy between two parties but we tend to let others benefit from the joy these people gave us. And we the new Registered Nurses of the nation would like to extend our gratitude by helping these children. We cannot do this alone, so we would really appreciate your help in any way. We do not demand you into anything but you could actually share this to others and let them go through it. In that way, we highly appreciate the circulation of this post and in that way, you were also able to help us.
